Privacy Policy
Applies to the Offline Dictionary app
This Privacy Policy explains how the Offline Dictionary app handles information when you install and use the app. We respect user privacy and aim to limit data processing to what is necessary.
1. Purpose of the app
The app provides offline dictionary lookup functionality on your device. The core dictionary data is stored in the app or on the device, so users can look up words without creating an account.
2. Data collected by the developer
The developer does not require users to create an account and does not directly collect names, addresses, phone numbers, contacts, personal content, or lookup history for storage on the developer's servers.
Search terms entered for dictionary lookup are processed on the device. We do not operate a server that stores users' lookup history.
3. Data stored on the device
The app may store certain preferences locally, such as favorite words, recent history, language, or display settings, to improve the user experience. This information remains on the device and may be deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall the app.
4. Advertising and Google AdMob
Although the developer does not directly collect personal data, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically process certain technical data to serve ads, measure performance, provide analytics, and prevent fraud. This data may include IP address, interactions with the app or ads, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers.
Google's processing of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. Android users can manage or delete their advertising ID in the privacy and advertising settings on their device.
5. App permissions
The offline dictionary feature does not require access to precise location, contacts, camera, or microphone. The app may use Internet access to load advertisements, check for updates, or access online content if those features are included in the version you use.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell or rent users' personal data. When AdMob is used, technical data may be processed by Google under Google's own policies and terms. We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the app.
7. Children's privacy
The app does not knowingly ask children to provide personal information. If the app is directed to children or used by children, the developer will configure advertising and consent mechanisms as appropriate for age, region, and applicable legal requirements.
8. Security
Because the dictionary's core functionality works offline, the amount of data transmitted externally is limited. However, no electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure. Users should keep the app and operating system up to date.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when app features, third-party SDKs, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page, and the effective date at the top will be revised.
